        Rental Conditions

        Please take a close look at your rental agreement as well as terms and conditions when you are renting your car. Some conditions such as deposit and excess may differ between car classes.

        Rate Includes: 

        • Airport surcharge - This is a service fee for a car hire taking place at an airport’s premises.
        • Unlimited mileage - Unlimited mileage gives you free and unlimited usage of the vehicle in terms of distance – no additional fees apply.
        • Winter tires - Winter tyres are extra equipment that is – in many countries – necessary by law or recommended during wintertime.
        • VAT/Tax - VAT is an acronym for value-added tax. In some countries, it's known as a goods and services tax (GST).
        • Third-Party Liability (TPL) - Third-party liability insurance for any damages or injuries that might happen to other parties or objects involved in the incident.
        • Theft Protection (TP) - Theft Protection (TP) is the basic insurance included in the standard rental price. It limits your financial liability for the costs in case of theft or loss of the vehicle.
        • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) - Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is the basic insurance included in the standard rental price. It limits your financial liability in case of damages to the body of the hired vehicle.

        Payment: 

        A valid credit card in the name of the main driver must be presented as a guarantee for the rental.

        Fuel Policy: 

        Full to Full. The vehicle is provided with a full tank and must be returned with the same amount to avoid additional charges. 

        Driving Abroad: 

        Driving to Russia is prohibited. A cross border fee of 70 EUR per rental applies for Norway, Sweden, Denmark. A cross border fee of 100 EUR per rental applies for: Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. Cross border rentals should be requested at least 7 working days prior to the rental pickup date.

        Driver and License Requirements: 

        A driver's licence in English or with Roman characters is required. International Driving licences in addition to the national one are required when a driving license is not in English or Roman characters. Drivers must have a driving licence regardless of the date of issue. Drivers must also show their passport or ID on collection as additional proof of identity. A valid credit card in the name of the main driver must be presented as a guarantee for the rental.

        Terms: 

        The Vehicle is provided with an unlimited Kilometer / Mileage Allowance. The amount authorized/collected is generally the vehicle excess. The credit card will need to be in the name of the main or the additional driver. Clients are responsible for the cost of any parking fines or other penalties incurred whilst the Vehicle is on rent to them. The supplier will pass the relevant charge on to the customer plus any administrative expenses. If the vehicle is returned later than the time specified in the voucher, the supplier will apply an extra day charge. Extra options (GPS, baby seats, snow chains) are available upon request and if applicable are Subject to Availability and Seasonal Variation, and will be provided by the location. Roof Racks are not available. In case of an accident, the client must contact the police and report the incident immediately, and submit a copy of the police report, the rental agreement to the rental location. CDW protection does not apply beyond the rental date agreed with the pickup location. For details of this insurance, please check with the supplier on the collection of the Vehicle. Exceptions in CDW, FDW & WUG: Charges for any of the damages written below will be charged directly to the client, the most important are the following: Antenna, trays, damage to car lock, loss or damage to keys, windshield wipers, the interior of the car, spare key and car jack, hubcap, lights, gas cap, damage to the upholstery of a car, damages to the roof, damages caused by roof rack and any luggage on it, extreme dirtiness in the car, personal belongings in a rented car, damage due to negligence or oversight, damages done intentionally, fuel errors, damage to child seats and baby seats, lack of electricity because of forgotten turned on electrical devices, loss of car documents, loss of registration plate. The car rental company, in any case, is not obligated to replace a flat tyre or damages in music devices (radio, CD/mp3 player, etc.).Towing costs are not covered by any insurance. Autounion car rental will not refund any telephone, taxi or hotel costs. Autounion car rental or the car rental company will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, causing willful damage, off-road driving, driving without care and attention or damages caused by negligence and traffic violations. The client will accept direct responsibility in respect of such claims. Any unnoticed accident or damage to the vehicle may be interpreted as negligence. This may result in a charge to the client. Theft Protection (TP): Is included in CDW. in the case of theft or fire, the client must contact the police and report the incident immediately, and submit a copy of the police report, the rental agreement and the Vehicles keys to the rental location. Responsibility is non-waiverable in case of theft or damages due to a theft attempt (excess apply). Theft protection does not apply beyond the rental date agreed with the pickup location.
