Tenerife: The Ultimate Golf Vacation

I know what some of you may be thinking. Who goes to Tenerife to play golf? This may surprise you, but Tenerife is a golfer's paradise. The south of the island offers some quite excellent golf courses, and the climate is perfect - sunny and warm all year round - perfect for golf. Our advice is to rent a car at Tenerife South Airport - choose an SUV or other large beast with the right amount of space so that all your golf equipment fits inside.

Abama - Golf Course

The most challenging course is located in the south of Tenerife. Abama is a magnificent oasis where you'll feel like a pro - even if you don't play like one. It offers 18 holes with lake obstacles. The 10th hole offers magnificent views of the sea.

Golf del Sur - Golf Course

With 27 holes, this golf course is a golfer's dream come true. Designed by Jose Gancedo on the south coast of the island, this course has a wow factor with all the volcanic bunkers, lush greens and ocean views. (Hint: rent a buggy).

Las Americas - Golf Course

Las Americas Golf Club features gorgeous flowers, water features and super soft grass. During peak season, the pace of play may be a little slower. Prepare to be pampered by high-level service at the clubhouse (bag storage, caddie cart rental, golf school, cafeteria, etc).
